The traditions live through generation, no matter who believes it or not. Beliefs sometimes are helpful for public welfare though many call it old thoughts having no substance to believe. This is science driven society, and since religious texts and traditions are not transcended without being explained, they are dominated.

Bhutan is a country in which most people depend on agriculture and livestock. So, there is nothing to be shocked at the frog marriage. This kind of thing is common among all the farmers all over the world.
Frog marriages I don't think are common because it is not celebrated in other societies. Common means it happens in majority of places.
